What happens over time?
Amanita Muscaria contains two key compounds: Ibotenic Acid and Muscimol. As the mushrooms age, Ibotenic Acid levels tend to decrease, while Muscimol levels gradually increase. For most people, this is a benefit—Muscimol is often associated with calming, relaxing effects, which many customers seek.
Will this affect my experience?
For most individuals, the shift towards higher Muscimol content over time can enhance the calming and introspective effects of the mushroom. However, if you benefit from Ibotenic Acid’s more stimulating effects, you may notice a slight change in your experience as this compound naturally decreases.
What does this mean for you?
After a year, there can be a 15% to 30% decrease in Ibotenic Acid levels. If you find that the effects feel slightly weaker, in theory, you could adjust by increasing your dosage. However, it’s important to remember that the effects of microdosing are meant to be sub-perceptual—meaning you won’t necessarily feel them directly. We don’t recommend focusing on immediate sensations to measure your progress with this mushroom. Instead, consider your overall sense of well-being and creativity over time.
I am taking Amanita to help me calm my mind during menopause, I have had severe symptoms of depressing and what i call Mind Kack (thinking only negatively) and since taking them I am even better than before menopause.
